What is a TCK?

TCK stands for Third-Culture Kid. An author and sociologist, Ruth Useem, created the name during her research in India.

It stands for a child or adult that has grown up in a culture that isn’t their parents home culture. They tend to be a mixture of the both cultures. They do not completely fit in their parents’ home culture and they cannot always fit in with the culture they grew up in.
